Misa de Gallo

Our parish here at St. Andrew-Marayong, will celebrate Misa de Gallo at 4:30 am each morning from 16 to 24 December 2025.

Mesa de Gallo, which literally means “Rooster’s Mass,” is a centuries-old dawn tradition in which the faithful rise before sunrise to keep vigil in hopeful anticipation of Christ’s coming.  Celebrated as a nine-day Masses at dawn or early morning, it expresses Advent watchfulness, Marian devotion, preparation for the celebration of the  mystery of Incarnation, Eucharistic commitment, and communal solidarity as the Church joyfully prepares for Christmas.
