Our Parish Vision Statement

We are an active and welcoming Catholic community, where people of all ages draw closer to God. His love is expressed through each one of us by prayer, liturgy and reaching out in service to one another.

 

About Saint Andrews Marayong

The Parish of St Andrews in Marayong came into existence on February 1st, 1961. It was separated from Blacktown parish and was officially designated as the Parish of Doonside/Quakers Hill. Father Kenneth Byrne was the first Parish Priest and served this parish as Pastor until 1988. In January 1963, Doonside became a separate Parish as did Quakers Hill 10 years later in January 1973

The first Mass in the temporary Parish Church was on November 5th, 1961. The reconstructed Church had its first Mass on November 5, 1977. Due to the population increase in the early 1990s it was necessary to dramatically extend the Church once again – in 1994 the present Church… Read More
