Pentecost Celebration
The Parish community of St Andrew the Apostle Parish will be celebrating the Feast of Pentecost on 24th May 2026. This year’s celebration will have the theme:
“Empowered by the Spirit, Alive in Christ”.
There will be a Family Rosary starting at 9:50am followed by a special liturgy for the 10:30am Mass.
The Mass will begin with the Entrance procession being joined by representatives from different nationalities that make up our parish community. This will be followed by a candle procession highlighting the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. During the Offertory, parish groups/families will offer food hampers for St Vincent de Paul beneficiaries. After the Mass, the Parish community is invited to the fellowship at the Piazza.
Volunteers are needed to help with the following:
❖ Food/household item donations for St Vincent de Paul from parish groups; for families wishing to donate a parcel and be part of the Offertory procession please contact the Parish office and bring your parcel wrapped in red or yellow in the Mass
❖ Donation of food and beverages, preferably easy-to-serve food as there will be no heating facility. The Piazza kitchen will be open from 9:30AM to receive food donations
❖ Packing away tables and cleaning up afterwards
Please approach the Parish Office (Ph 02 9622 0817) to indicate your donation or assistance.
Please come and make our celebration of Pentecost a joyful occasion to honour the Holy Spirit, celebrate the birthday of our Church and to bring our Parish community together. Thank you all in advance for your time and dedication.
