FESTIVAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Pentecost Celebration

The Parish community of St Andrew the Apostle Parish will be celebrating Pentecost on 7^th June 2025. In line with 2025 Jubilee Year, the theme of our celebration is “Pilgrims of Hope led by the Holy Spirit.”

The Mass will begin with the Entrance procession joined by representatives of different nationalities that make up our parish, followed by a candle procession highlighting the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. During Offertory, parish groups/families will offer food hampers for St Vincent de Paul beneficiaries.

Following the Mass, everyone is invited to an International Shared Meal, Fellowship and Program at the School Hall.

Volunteers and donors are needed to help with the following:

• Food/household item donations for St Vincent de Paul from parish groups; for families wishing to donate a gift hamper and be part of the Offertory procession please contact the Parish office and bring your hamper wrapped in red or yellow in the Mass
• Donation of food from different nationalities, preferably finger food and easy-to-serve food as there will be no heating facility. The School Hall will be open from 3:30pm to receive food donations
• Packing away tables and cleaning up afterwards.

Please approach the sign-up tables after Mass to indicate your donation or assistance. Or you may liaise with the Parish Office (Ph 02 9622 0817).

Please come and make our celebration of Pentecost a joyful occasion to honour the Holy Spirit, celebrate the birthday of our Church and to bring our Parish community together.

You are encouraged to wear colours of fire or your cultural attire.
