COVID-19 updates

On Saturday morning, 18/12/2021 we received from the NSW Government a COVID-19 case alert. A person who is a confirmed case of COVID-19 attended St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 40 Breakfast Road, Marayong NSW, Australia on 13-12-2021 while potentially infectious.
The advice from NSW Government is to alert those who attended this day and advise them to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and get tested if they feel unwell. Those who checked in through the Service NSW app will receive the same advice through a notification on the app.

Update COVID-19 Restrictions

 On 15 December 2021 the NSW Government implemented the previously announced changes to the reopening roadmap for the COVID-19 restrictions. Most premises in NSW are now open to everyone, regardless of whether you are fully vaccinated or not. For our place of worship the following now apply:

Please do not attend – stay home if you are unwell or have been in close contact with a Covid positive person.  

COVID-19 Safe Check-in and Record Keeping: Check in using the NSW QR Code OR MANUALLY SIGNING IN and record keeping of all attendees are still required for places of worship. Use hand sanitizer.

Masks: Masks will no longer be mandatory at places of worship. However, Masks are still strongly encouraged, ESPECIALLY WHEN social distancing is not possible.

Density Limits: There will no longer be any square meter rules applicable for Parishes. This includes the Church and other buildings within the Parish. HOWEVER OUR SAFETY PLAN STILL RECOMMENDS SOCIAL DISTANCING WHERE POSSIBLE.

Choir and Singing: Singing will be permitted for everyone in attendance.

Please help with sanitising the seats after Mass.                                                                

Meetings & Social Events: Parish meetings & social events can resume with no person limit.
